Volunteers will Tell Sen. Cruz: It may be April 1st, but Don’t Be a ClimateFool
OFA-TX Volunteers to Deliver IPCC Report to Sen. Cruz’s Office to Show the Real Danger We Face if We Don’t Act
On Tuesday, Apr. 1, OFA-TX volunteers will deliver the new climate impacts report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change to Sen. Cruz as part of a national day of action. With each scientific study that is released, it becomes more and more apparent that climate change deniers in Congress are out of touch with reality.
Just the other day, it was reported that 10,883 out of 10,885 scientific studies published on climate change in 2013 concluded that it was real and manmade. Now, the IPCC report demonstrates that the impacts of climate change are already widespread and we are likely to suffer even more dire consequences if we don’t take action now.
This April Fools’ Day, it may seem like a joke that more than 130 members of Congress refuse to believe in the basic science behind climate change, but it’s far from funny. We have a moral obligation to act now to protect the future for our children and grandchildren, but progress continues to be obstructed by these legislators’ extreme positions. OFA volunteers will not stop calling them out.
Who: OFA-TX volunteers and supporters from the Dallas area
When: 11:00 AM on Tuesday, Apr. 1
Where: Ted Cruz office, 3626 N. Hall St. Suite 410, Dallas, TX
