World Book Night at Watauga Public Library

The Watauga Public Library is proud to be one of 2,300 libraries and bookstores across America supporting World Book Night 2014.

World Book Night U.S. (WBN) is an ambitious campaign to give thousands of free, specially-printed paperbacks to light or non-readers. Volunteer book givers help promote reading by going into our communities and handing out publisher funded free copies to those without the budget to purchase their own books.

On April 23rd, Shakespeare’s birthday, 25,000 volunteers from Kodiak to Key West will give away half a million free books in more than 6,000 towns and cities across America.

The Watauga Public Library will host a party from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on April 23rd. The party will celebrate books and the joys of reading.

Please join us for refreshments and to receive a free copy of an adult fiction or non-fiction book that’s yours to keep.
