Brown Bag with Dr. Reid 2014-15 Dates Announced
The dates for the 2014-15 Brown Bag with Dr. Reid events have been announced with the Keller ISD Superintendent scheduled to host events at eight campuses this year.
Brown Bag events are an opportunity for parents and community members to meet and visit with Superintendent Dr. Randy Reid as he shares the latest happenings in the District and answers questions from those in attendance. Each month of the school year, Dr. Reid visits a different campus hosted by the respective school’s PTA. Every year a different set of schools is selected to host a Brown Bag event.
This year’s schedule includes:
• September 25, 2014 – Hidden Lakes Elementary School
• October 16, 2014 – Indian Springs Middle School
• November 13, 2014 – Timber Creek High School
• January 2015 – Fossil Hill Middle School (exact date yet to be determined) • February 19, 2015 – Florence Elementary School
• March 26, 2015 – Trinity Springs Middle School
• April 16, 2015 – Fossil Ridge High School
• May 14, 2015 – Park Glen Elementary School
All Brown Bag events will be held at noon in the library of the host campus, unless otherwise noted. Dates of Brown Bag events are subject to change, but any changes will be well publicized on and the District’s Twitter and Facebook accounts. Brown Bag is filmed and can be viewed afterward on K-Tube for those not able to attend.

Atomic Learning Provides Free Technology Training to Students, Parents

Keller ISD has recently partnered with Atomic Learning to provide teachers, students, and parents access to tutorials on common software and workshops on technology topics like blogging, Twitter, and Internet safety.
Through Atomic Learning – the award-winning provider of online technology training and support –Keller ISD can provide teachers, students, and parents with 24/7 access to professional development resources with the 21st century skills-based training.
Students can access Atomic Learning through K-Cloud by visiting and logging in using their KISD username and password. Families can connect to Atomic Learning by going to Each campus has a unique username and password that they can provide families. Contact your campus librarian for assistance.

Conceptual Idea Related to Potential November 2014 Bond
Superintendent Dr. Randy Reid is currently gathering community feedback on a conceptual idea for a potential upcoming bond package that would bring Keller ISD a dedicated Career Technology Education campus and create purer feeder patterns for existing schools.
