Nine Districts Partner to Connect

WHO:     Allen ISD, Coppell ISD, Frisco ISD, Highland Park ISD, Lewisville ISD, McKinney ISD, Northwest ISD, Plano ISD and Richardson ISD

WHAT:    With a mission to transform schools, nine Dallas/Fort Worth area school
districts will partner for the North Texas Visioning Conference this             summer. The conference features keynote speakers and educational leaders Diane Ravitch and Young Zhao. Breakout sessions include topics such as community-based accountability, digital learning, multiple measures of assessment, designing learning, capacity building and more.

WHEN/WHERE:        July 22-23

Allen ISD Performing Arts Center
300 Rivercrest Boulevard, Allen, 75002
WHY:                         The conference is geared for North Texas educators from the North Texas Regional Consortium. These nine school districts have a vision to move the education system into a forward-thinking system that prepares students for their futures. This Consortium group formed as a result of the Visioning Institute, a group of school school district superintendents brought together by the Texas Association of School Administrators and the Texas Leadership Center.

This is the first time nine local area school districts have partnered together to host a conference of this nature—with a mission to transform Texas public schools. For more information about the conference, go to  https://sites.google.com/a/allenisd.org/ntexasvisioningconference/home.

NOTE:                        If you plan to attend, please contact Northwest ISD’s Director of Communications Emily Conklin (940-535-8010).
