Leticia Van de Putte On The Anniversary of September 11
Today, on the 13th Anniversary of tragedy of September 11, 2001, we remember those who lost their lives, honor those who put their lives at risk to save others, and reflect on the unbreaking will of our country.
Leticia Van de Putte released the following statement:
“On this day 13 years ago, Heaven was crowded with the souls of those taken from us too early. We will never forget. September 11, 2001 was a day of infamy in the history of our country and the world. Despite the shock and sorrow in our hearts, we found hope because of our shared fundamental belief as Americans and Texans that our best days are ahead.
“We saw pure evil, but in the aftermath we saw the best in humanity. Our spirit and resiliency as Americans held strong. Despite the intentions of those who attacked us, we would never be divided. Years later, America continues to fight for freedom.
“I am grateful for the first responders who, that day and ever after, have risked their own lives for our safety. And, as always, I am grateful for our military service members and their families, who have always stood ready to make the ultimate sacrifice to protect our nation and our freedom around the world.
“God bless America.”
