NISD’s Rory Peacock Named Director of Instructional Technology
Northwest ISD is proud to announce Rory Peacock as the district’s new director of instructional technology.
“I am very excited about the opportunity to work with all of the different departments and campuses,” said Director of Instructional Technology Rory Peacock. “We have some great ideas moving into this new year and want to continue taking our previous initiatives even deeper into the teaching and learning process.
Peacock has been the district’s coordinator of instructional technology for the past year. He has also served as an instructional technology specialist and a fifth grade math and science teacher in Northwest ISD. Prior to joining the Northwest ISD team, he was an applications project manager for a network company in Fort Worth and a network and communications specialist in Midway ISD.
“I am surrounded by an amazing team,” Peacock said. “To be able to lead this collection of outstanding educators and thinkers is something that doesn’t come along often. I am excited about the future of Northwest ISD and the opportunities for our students.”
Peacock received his master’s in education in educational leadership and policy studies from the University of Texas at Arlington and holds a bachelor of science in multidisciplinary studies from McMurry University. He is also an Authorized Apple Foundations Trainer. Peacock is one of only 112 in the United States to hold this certification from Apple.
Peacock has already begun the transition into his new role as director of instructional technology in Northwest ISD.
