Texas Fire Fighters Endorse Senator Leticia Van de Putte For Lt. Governor
The Texas State Association of Fire Fighters, proudly representing 13,600 men and women employed as fire fighters and emergency medical personnel, announced its endorsement of Leticia Van de Putte for Texas Lieutenant Governor.
The decision to endorse Senator Van de Putte was unanimous as the Executive Board of the Texas State Association of Fire Fighters met on September 3, 2014.
President Guy Turner issued this statement:
“Since Leticia Van de Putte took office, first as a member of the Texas House of Representatives elected in 1990 and then as a Senator in 1999, she has helped ensure that the needs of fire fighters and other first responders have been met. This translates into improved service to the citizens of Texas who we have sworn to protect. Leticia Van de Putte has been at the forefront in protecting the protectors. It is fitting that she receive our unequivocal endorsement.”

“In my years of public service, I have worked to keep our promise to those that protect us. We can count on them in our time of need, it is important that they know they can count on us. As Lieutenant Governor, I will continue to put Texas first and work hard for our state’s heroes.”
