CITY TO HOST STATE OF THE CITY
The 6th Annual State of the City meeting will be held Thursday, Jan. 29, at Colleyville Center, 5301 Riverwalk Drive. Designed as a one-stop information resource for residents, the State of the City will be preceded by an open house with city departments and community organizations. The open house begins at 6:00 p.m., followed by the State of the City at 7:00 p.m.
A review of the past year and a look at some of the city’s future initiatives are hallmarks of the State of the City program, which emphasizes issues, projects, and developments that have impacted the city during the past year, and those that will affect Colleyville residents and businesses in the year ahead. Typical topics include the city budget and creating sustainable government, economic development, capital improvement and road construction projects, city infrastructure, and public safety statistics and initiatives.
The Colleyville City Council and city staff will be available to talk with citizens and answer questions during the public Q&A session that will follow the formal presentation.
The meeting will be taped and, while the location does not allow the State of the City to be streamed live, it will be available within days via the city’s webcast system at Colleyville.com. For more information, please call 817.503.1111.
