KISD Health Services Wins Big at American Diabetes Association Awards Night 2014
The American Diabetes Association Awards Night 2014 was held Monday, December 8 and Keller ISD's Health Services Department represented the District well, winning three awards.
Cindy Parsons, Director of Health Services, was named the North Texas Administrator of the Year for the School Walk forDiabetes. Parsons heads up the Keller ISD Annual School Walk for Diabetes and Lifestyle Improvement Challenge events. Keller ISD raised over $73,000 at the 2014 Diabetes Walk for the ADA, naming Keller ISD as one of the nation’s top districts in the nation.
Debbie Hooker, LVN (Keller High School), received the Volunteer of the Year Award for the School Walk for Diabetes and on World Diabetes Day, Debbie Gregor, RN (Keller High School) received the 2014 Luskey Lifetime Achievement Award by the American Diabetes Association.
The 10th Annual School Walk for Diabetes will be held on March 28, 2015 and will have a Superhero theme.
