The United States Chamber of Commerce recently awarded the Hurst Euless Bedford Chamber of Commerce with 4-Star Accreditation for excellence in chamber planning and performance.

As the only national program of its kind in the country, the accreditation program evaluates chambers on quality programs, clear organizational procedures, and effective communications by meeting minimum standards in its operations and programs, including areas of governance, government affairs, and technology.

Local chambers are rated Accredited, 3-Stars, 4-Stars, or 5-Stars. The final determination is made by the Accrediting Board, a committee of U.S. Chamber board members. “This is the first time the HEB Chamber has applied for accreditation and we are honored to have received 4-Star Accreditation. It is our privilege to offer programs and services that benefit local businesses and the community,” stated HEB Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Mary Frazior, IOM.

The accreditation process started under 2013 Chairman of the Board Deborah Paganelli of Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Hurst-Euless-Bedford. Accreditation submissions were filed last December under 2014 Chairman of the Board Brent McIlvain of Edward Jones. With this designation, the HEB Chamber now has an elite status of being in the top 3% of chambers in the United States.
