Justin Vercher Named Principal of NISD’s Chisholm Trail Middle School
Superintendent Karen G. Rue, Ed.D. recommended Justin Vercher as the principal of Chisholm Trail Middle School at the school board meeting on April 27.
“I am pleased to recommend Justin Vercher as the new principal of Chisholm Trail Middle School,” said Superintendent of Schools Karen G. Rue, Ed.D. “Mr. Vercher is an energetic leader and brings experience in school transformation. He will be a tremendous asset to our school district and community.”
Mr. Vercher is currently the principal of Watauga Elementary School in Birdville ISD where he has led the campus since 2012. He has ten years of administrative experience additionally serving as a principal in Forney ISD and assistant principal in Katy ISD. Mr. Vercher’s teaching experience includes kindergarten, first grade and physical education.
“I am looking forward to joining the Northwest ISD team and Chisholm Trail Middle School Bulldog community,” said Principal Justin Vercher. “I am excited for the opportunity to create relationships with the students and staff at Chisholm Trail and build upon the foundation of excellence that has been established within the campus and community.”
Mr. Vercher holds a master of science in education management from the University of Houston and a bachelor of science in elementary education from Sterling College. He is a member of the National Distinguished Principals State Selection Committee and the Principals’ Visioning Institute. He has been on numerous committees within his school districts which include strategic planning and leadership design.
Vercher will begin his new position at Chisholm Trail Middle School with the start of the 2015-2016 school year. He succeeds Todd Rogers who is the new associate principal for Northwest ISD’s Byron Nelson High School.
