Annual Heart at Work Softball Tournament Rescheduled for May 15
The sixth annual HAW Employee Softball Tournament has been rescheduled for Friday, May 15.
The event, honors the Heart At Work Employees of the Month for the 2014-15, was originally scheduled for Friday, May 8, but had to be postponed due to standing water on the field.
Faculty and staff will form teams to represent each of KISD’s four feeder patterns: Charger Connection (CHS), Falcon Fury (TCHS), Panther Pride (FRHS), and Tribal Council (KHS). The teams will compete in a single elimination tournament to decide the champion.
This year’s tournament will be held from 6-9 pm. Friday, May 15, at Central High School’s softball field (9450 Ray White Road). Admission is free. In addition to the on-the-field action, the Heart At Work Committee, overseeing employee recognition efforts in KISD, will honor those employees who earned Employee of the Month during the 2014-15 school year. Each month, Keller ISD employees nominate co-workers who go above and beyond to show their “Heart At Work.” One nominee is drawn each month as the HAW Employee of the Month. The Keller ISD 4th grade honor choir will perform the National Anthem before the first game begins at 6 p.m.
The 2015 Tournament schedule is:
6 p.m. – Charger Connection vs. Panther Pride
7 p.m. – Falcon Fury vs. Tribal Council
8 p.m. – Championship Game
Don’t miss the chance to watch your favorite Keller ISD employee on the field or win one of the many great door prizes!
