Precinct Administrator Carolyn Sims to Retire

After almost a decade of extraordinary leadership as Precinct Administrator for Tarrant County Precinct 3, Carolyn Sims has announced she will retire at the end of May. Her retirement caps a distinguished career in public service that has included being a middle school teacher and counselor, President of the Colleyville Area Chamber of Commerce and Arts Council NE, serving in leadership positions with the Town of Westlake and Northwest ISD Education Foundation as well as Chief of Staff to State Representative Vicki Truitt.

“It’s been a real privilege and honor to work side by side with Carolyn for these eight years,” says Commissioner Fickes. “During her leadership, we have accomplished significant achievements including the Northeast Tarrant Transportation Summit, Empowering Seniors, expanding awareness of the county in the Northeast area, and our new Tarrant County Northeast Courthouse. Her insight in bringing organizations and people together has definitely benefited Northeast Tarrant County.”

Carolyn’s career has been marked by her commitment to serving others. She will continue to be active in our community and looks forward to the next chapter in her life.
