Happy Independence Day from Northeast Tarrant County!
Independence Day is a federal holiday commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, by the Continental Congress. The Declaration of Independence proclaimed that the thirteen American colonies regarded themselves as a new nation, the United States of America, and therefore no longer under the authority of the British Empire.
Since 1941, the United States has recognized this historical date as a holiday for citizens to celebrate the freedoms that come with living in this great nation!
