Carroll ISD Voters Approve $208 Million Bond Proposition
CISD voters approved a $208 million bond proposition on Saturday. The bond passed with 64% (2,406 votes) to 36% (1,370) as 3,776 voters participated in the election. Read the full story here on MySouthlakeNews.com.
Dragons STAAR Testing This Week
This week, Carroll ISD students will continue state testing for the 2016-2017 school year. These exams are required by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and administered at the student’s home campus. Dragons in grades 3rd-8th will be testing this week. No visitors are allowed on campuses.
Dragon Baseball Defeats Plano, Advances to Area Round
The Dragon baseball team defeated Plano in a first-round series on Saturday to advance. Carroll now faces Waco Midway in a best-of-three area round series starting Thursday. Click here to read more.
Senior Picnic Tickets On Sale
The Carroll Senior Picnic is Thursday, May 18. Tickets are on sale until Friday, May at 12 p.m. for $30. Tickets purchased after May 5 will be $40. Final sales end May 12 at 12 p m. Click here to purchase.
Project Graduation Tickets Now on Sale
Project Graduation tickets are on sale now and can be purchased online by clicking here. Seniors can also mail in/or bring their purchase to the CSHS office with a signed waiver that was sent in a mailing last month. There will be a price increase on May 13, so purchase your tickets now. Purchase Class of 2017 Videoboard Graduation Message
The Dragon Marketing Department is offering the opportunity to purchase a personalized, 7-second graduation message with photos to appear on the Dragon Stadium videoboard on Friday, June 2. The cost per message is $50 with proceeds benefitting Carroll ISD’s General Fund. Click here for more information and how to order.
CEF Summer Internship Available
The Carroll Education Foundation represents the fundraising arm of CISD and heavily relies on the time, treasure and talents of the entire district and community. The organization is offering various summer internship positions for incoming 2017-2018 CISD juniors and seniors to learn more about the non-profit sector and funding education in public schools. Remaining CISD Rangers Caps Available for Pick-Up with Voucher
For those who purchased Rangers tickets for CISD Night at the Ballpark and were unable to pick up their caps at the game, the caps are available for pickup at the CISD Administration Building. You must present your cap voucher in order to redeem your previously ordered cap. The deadline for cap pickup is Friday, May 12. After this deadline, Rangers caps will be available for purchase to the public.
Dragon Football Season Tickets Still Available
Looking for a great seat at Dragon football next season? Season tickets still remain for the 2017 season. They can be purchased at the athletic department in the Carroll ISD Administration Center, located at 2400 North Carroll. Building hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
Dragon Cheer Summer Clinic

Retirement Party for RES Music Teacher
After 39 years in teaching, beloved RES music teacher, Josie Smith, is retiring in order to spend more time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Smith’s current & former students, RESPECT choir members, parents, friends and colleagues are all invited to drop by an Open House in her honor. The event will be held Saturday, May 13 from 2-4 p.m. in Evans Hall, Whites Chapel United Methodist Church. Sign up to help with this special day here.
APEX Arts League Presents FWSO Performing “An American Salute” in Southlake
The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra will perform “An American Salute,” a concert of musical patriotism, on May 26, 2017 at White’s Chapel United Methodist Church. Associate Conductor Daniel Black will lead the orchestra in Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture, John Williams’s Summon the Heroes, Unger’s Ashokan Farewell, a medley of American marches, and much more.
