Dragon Baseball Game Moved to Highland Park
Due to potential weather issues, the Dragon baseball playoff game has been moved to Highland Park at 5:30 p.m. today. Carroll won the Class 6A Region I Quarterfinal opener vs. Allen 16-7 on Thursday. Follow the Dragons on Gamechanger here.
CISD End-of-Year Banquet Wednesday at CSHS
Carroll ISD will host its annual End-of-Year banquet on Wednesday, May 24 at Carroll Senior High School’s Student Activity Center. CISD will honor Teachers of the Year and announce this year’s Secondary and K-6th Teachers of the Year. The event will start at 4 p.m. and the CISD Administration building will close at 3:45 p.m. so employees can attend. The building will resume normal hours on Thursday, May 25.
Dragon Students Tour Skycam Facility
The Carroll ISD Communications Interns toured the Skycam headquarters in Fort Worth during a field trip on Friday. The interns had the opportuntity to operate the cameras which are used above the fields at NFL and college football games. See photos from the trip here.
Bus Passes Available for 2017-2018 School Year
Bus passes are now available for purchase for the 2017-2018 school year. In order to receive early incentive pricing, reserve and pay for your child’s bus pass by July 31. Click here for more information.
Student Medication Pickup Due By June 1
Please be advised if your student has medication or health supplies in the school clinic, these items must be picked up before the last day of school. For student’s safety and security, medications will not be sent home with any student. All medications, prescriptions and over the counter will be destroyed at the end of the day June 1. No medication will be “held over” for the next school year.
Health Service Immunization Reminder
Please submit any new or updated vaccination records to your school nurse immediately. Per state law, all students must be compliant with required vaccinations before the first day of school or they must be excluded from classes; please see the following website for complete rules:
Lady Dragon Golf Team Finishes 8th at State
The Carroll Lady Dragon golf team finished in 8th place at the UIL Class 6A state tournament in Georgetown this week. Malak Bouraeda was the top finisher for the Lady Dragons after shooting two rounds of 75 for a 150 total.
Carroll High School Therapy Dog Visit
On Thursday, May 25, CHS Student Council will be conducting an anti-stress project on the last day before final exams. StuCo has arranged for two dogs from The Summit Comfort Dog Ministry come to the CHS campus to visit with the students and help with their stress and anxiety levels. The dogs and their handlers will be in the guidance office from 8:30 to 11 a.m. on May 25 for students to choose to come and visit. Student Directory Advertising for 2017-2018
Would you like to advertise your business or organization in the CISD student directories? With over 10,000 impressions at all 11 CISD campuses, advertising in the student directories is a great way to generate more customers for your business. Your ad could be featured in the student directories for every elementary, intermediate, middle, and high school campus. Proceeds go back to the PTO of each campus. Carroll Colorguard Training, Tryouts Held Next Week
All incoming freshmen who are interested in joining the Carroll Colorguard can attend the training and tryouts next Tuesday-Thursday, May 23-25, from 4:30-7 p.m. at Carroll High School. For more details view the flyer here.
Project Graduation Tickets On Sale
Project Graduation Tickets are currently on sale for $85. The ticket price will increase on May 27. Online purchasing will end on May 30 at 11 p.m. after this time you may purchase the tickets at the door or by contacting Angela Schwartz, The information about this all night event can be found on the Senior Page of the CSHS website. Dragon Rangers Caps Sold Out
The 2017 edition of the Dragon Texas Rangers caps are now sold out. There are still 2016 Rangers caps available for purchase for $10 at the CISD Administration Building. The building is open from 8:00-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.

Baccalaureate 2017 Information
Baccalaureate is a CHS/CSHS PTO sponsored, interfaith service to honor all Carroll seniors and their families. The approximately hour-long service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, May 28. This year’s theme will be “The Heart of Success” and will include readings, words of inspiration, music and prayer from Carroll Seniors representing multiple faiths. In addition to student participation, several local faith leaders will provide short inspirational messages. Baccalaureate is the first occasion in which graduates will wear their caps and gowns. The service is held at White’s Chapel United Methodist Church. No RSVP is needed for students and their family members. View the invitation and details on the CHS/CSHS PTO website here.
Links Jazz & Blues Fest at The Marq Saturday
This festival featuring jazz musicians Kirk Whalum, the Yuko Mabuchi Trio, the Freddie Jones Jazz Group, food, and art from local artists will be held May 20, 6 p.m. – 12 a.m. at The Marq Southlake. The Links Jazz & Blues Fest is sponsored by the Fort Worth, TX Chapter of The Links, Inc. and will benefit their local community service programs focused on STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) programs for youth. Southlake YoungLife Hosting 5K Fun Run Saturday
Join Southlake YoungLife on Saturday, May 20 for a 5K Fun Run that helps send kids to summer camp. The race will be at Dragon Stadium, costs $25 pre-race, and $30 on the day of the race.
