The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has scheduled workshops for TxDOT’s upcoming statewide Safe Routes to School Call for Projects. A workshop for the North Texas region will be held in the Transportation Council Room at the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) on Wednesday, February 20th from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

All communities in the region are eligible to apply to TxDOT for funding to construct infrastructure projects that facilitate walking and bicycling within two miles of K-8 schools. The program guide and preliminary application is available on the TxDOT website.
