City of Grapevine Hires New Public Library Director

On February 2, 2019, Ruth Chiego joined the City of Grapevine’s management team as the Grapevine Public Library Director. Ruth has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, and a Masters of Library and Information Science from the University of Texas at Austin. She has worked for the City of San Antonio Public Library since 2008. Prior to her tenure with the San Antonio Public Library, Ruth, oversaw public services operations for the Westbank Community Library in Austin/WestLake Hills, Texas from 1998 to 2005. Ruth enjoys shopping, movies, and is a foodie. Currently, Ruth resides in Keller with her husband, their nine-year-old son, and enjoys four grown stepchildren who she boasts are very talented, a brew master, a marketing pro (and mommy), a medical student, and an amazing artist.
