Euless: Learn Bokashi Composting
Euless City Hall, 201 N. Ector Dr.
Maybe you’re trying to go green but don’t have the space for a compost bin. That’s where bokashi composting comes in handy. Basically a system of fermentation, the method has its roots in the Korean pickling tradition. Bokashi composting makes it possible for those with little space outside to compost food waste.
This method also allows you to compost oily foods and meat scraps that don’t belong in an outdoor compost heap.
Speaker Daniel Cunningham with Texas A&M Agrilife Research will teach participants about this newer composting practice.
The event is free, but you must register to attend. Please register online or call 817-685-1821 for more information.
