Colleyville Center Undergoing Improvement
Starting in July, the Colleyville Center will host a limited number of small gatherings as the building undergoes some upgrades and the creation of a new courtyard.
City Council approved a contract with MSB Constructors Inc. at its May 21 meeting to enhance the event venue. The project includes window repairs, integrating new french doors in the Palladian windows, fresh landscaping, and interior trim updates. Upgrades will include a 3,900-square-foot courtyard with a water feature and metal trellis for wedding ceremonies. The project will cost about $347,000 with the Colleyville Garden Club providing an additional $10,000 donation for the project.
The Center is expected to fully reopen in September. The City is hosting a public reveal on Sunday, September 29 at 3 p.m. for residents to view the updated space and new features. The event will feature music by Trio Kavanah as well as light hors d’oeuvres.
The Colleyville Center opened its doors twenty-one years ago on Riverwalk Drive. It is an event venue owned by the City of Colleyville hosting over 300 events every year, from weddings and milestone birthday celebrations, to HOA and local non-profit group get togethers.
