Families can prepare for Halloween at the City of Hurst’s Costume Swap on September 26 at Hurst Public Library.

The event will run from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Program Rooms North and South at 901 Precinct Line Rd. in Hurst.

Admission includes bringing a new or gently used costume, a costume accessory or a canned good. Participants can shop a selection of free costumes and accessories for children and teens.

The Costume Swap is intended to help make Halloween more affordable and sustainable for local families. Residents may donate items, swap costumes or look for a costume or accessory for the upcoming holiday.

Children receiving a costume must be present at the event. Each child is limited to one costume, and costumes and accessories will be available while supplies last.
