Hudgins Street between Main Street and Dooley Street is closed to through-traffic for utility work through mid-November. Atmos Energy is also urging customers to prepare for colder weather.

A full road closure is in place on Hudgins Street between Main Street and Dooley Street in Grapevine because of necessary utility work. The closure affects all through-traffic, with access maintained for necessary business traffic.

The restriction is expected to remain in place for the next several weeks, through mid-November. Drivers should plan around the closure when traveling in the area.

Atmos Energy is also reminding customers to prepare their homes and businesses for colder weather. Customers who need to reconnect natural gas service can call 888.286.6700 Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Customers can sign up for text alerts through the Account Center’s Notification Preferences or by using the text-alert registration link.

Atmos Energy recommends inspecting gas lines and appliances before cold weather arrives. Homeowners are responsible for natural gas piping on their property from the meter to the home or business. Gas appliances should be operated and maintained according to the manufacturer’s instructions to support safety and energy efficiency.

Residents should also check that smoke detectors and carbon monoxide alarms are working properly. Gas meters should be kept clear, including protection from snow and ice that could fall onto or bury the meter.
