Grapevine Recycles Day Set for Oct. 31

Grapevine residents can clear out household clutter and give reusable materials a second life during Grapevine Recycles Day on Saturday, October 31.

The free event will run from 8 to 11:30 a.m. at 501 Shady Brook Drive, across from the Recycling Drop-Off Station. Residents may bring paper for shredding, electronics, appliances, batteries, tires, cardboard and other accepted materials.

Clothing donations, reusable items, and canned or dry foods will also be accepted. The food donations will be delivered to GRACE. New, unwrapped toys are welcome for the Santa Cops program.

Residents should review the listing of accepted and unaccepted items, along with restrictions and the required attendee survey, before attending.

Grapevine residents can participate at no charge, although a canned or dry food donation is encouraged. Household hazardous waste and commercial or business waste will not be accepted.

The event is subject to weather-related changes or cancellation.
