Applications are being accepted for the Hurst-Euless-Bedford Chamber of Commerce’s 2027 Youth in Government program, which gives local high school students an opportunity to learn about city government and compete for scholarships.

The program was developed by the Chamber and is held in partnership with the Cities of Bedford, Euless, and Hurst. Sessions will take place twice a month on Monday nights between January and April. Each session will last 1.5 hours and cover topics including voting and elections, police and fire department services, potential career fields, community service, and more.

Applicants must be juniors or seniors in high school by January 4 and live in Bedford, Euless, or Hurst. Students do not need to attend HEB ISD to apply.

Applications and additional program information are available online. The application deadline is Wednesday, December 2.
