Word on the Streets

Starting Tuesday, Sept. 3, the City’s contractor will begin paving operations on Sierra Drive.

This includes milling up the old asphalt pavement and stabilizing the subgrade. Next, they will place a binder on the roadway and lay the new asphalt pavement. The work, which is dependent on good weather, is expected to take about 3 weeks to complete.

Sierra Drive will remain open to neighborhood traffic during construction; however, if you do not live on Sierra Drive, please avoid the area. The reconstruction of Sierra Drive is part of the voter approved 2020 Street Bond Program to reconstruct 27 NRH streets.
