If you weren’t able to make it to Tuesday’s public meeting about FM 1983/Davis Boulevard safety improvements, there’s still time to attend the meeting virtually and provide feedback to TxDOT online. To access the virtual meeting go to www.txdot.gov and search “FM 1938 Davis Boulevard.” The comment period will close on Dec. 2 at 12:59 p.m. TxDOT’s project will construct raised medians on Davis Boulevard from FM 1709/Southlake Boulevard in Southlake to Emerald Hills Way in NRH. The purpose of the median project is to improve safety and mobility by accommodating traffic growth and controlling turning movements to reduce crashes.
The reconstruction of Kirk Lane, from Northfield Drive to Kirk Road, is now expected to begin after the Thanksgiving holiday on Monday, Dec. 2. This will include removal of the old asphalt pavement, stabilization of the subgrade and placement of new asphalt pavement. The work, which is dependent on good weather, is expected to take about 3 weeks to complete.
