Since 2008, the Keller ISD Film Festival has engaged students’ creativity, filled movie theaters to capacity, and showcased thousands of amazing student films.

Students are encouraged to use film to express their creativity and enter those creations in 5 special categories; Drama, Comedy, Documentary/PSA, Animation, and Music Video. A panel of judges comprised of Keller ISD administrators as well as industry video professionals will watch all entries, and pick finalists and winners for each category in 3 age groups; Grades K-4, Grades 5-8 and Grades 9-12.

Finalists will be announced on Friday, Feb 14, 2025, and showcased during a Gala Awards Ceremony on Monday, March 10, 2025 at the Moviehouse and Eatery in Keller, where clips from finalists’ movies will be shown, and winners will be announced in each age group. All finalists will receive certificates of merit, and winners in each age group will receive coveted Film Festival trophies. Here is a summary of the rules:

  • Enter as many films as you like in each category – but each movie can only be entered once.
  • Films can be any length, but under five minutes is a great guideline!
  • Upload your film to any online cloud storage platform (Google Drive, iCloud, Dropbox, etc.) or video sharing service (YouTube, Vimeo, etc) and fill out the online entry form HERE between now and Jan 21, 2025.
