Friday’s Trash and City Closure Info

Trash/Recycling Service Update

Republic Services has canceled trash and recycling collections for Friday, January 10. Normal trash collections will resume on Monday, January 13. There will be no additional trash or recycling collections over the weekend.

Facility Closures

Due to the icy road conditions, all non-emergency City offices and facilities will remain closed tomorrow, January 10. This includes City Hall, Municipal Court, Bedford Public Library, Senior Activity Center, and the Animal Shelter.

The Bedford Center YMCA will also remain closed on Friday.

At this time, the Bedford Library will open with normal hours on Saturday (at 10 a.m.). If there are any changes, we will let you all know on our communication channels.

Road Conditions

Please avoid travel if you can, but if you need to be out, slow down, watch out for ice on the roads, and leave plenty of distance between you and other cars. Public Works crews are working around the clock assessing and treating our roadways. Roads are expected to freeze overnight and make for hazardous travel in the morning.
