This month, our contractor Vanguard continues working on water meter replacement in neighborhoods located generally:

-south of Loop 820 and east of Rufe Snow Dr. (18)
-south of Loop 820 and west of Rufe Snow Dr. (11)
-north of Loop 820, east of Davis Blvd. and south of Mid-Cities (17)

These areas are shown on the map below. If you live in one of these areas, you will receive a door hanger a few days before the installation of the new meter.

  • Each Vanguard employee will wear a uniform with a visible company logo and their vehicle will be marked with the Vanguard logo.
  • There will be a temporary service interruption when your water meter is replaced, but typically less than 30 minutes.
  • Workers from Vanguard will do all of the work outside at your meter box near the curb and will not need to go inside your house. You will not need to be home when the meter replacement takes place.

After your meter has been replaced, you will have access to Eye on Water, which allows you to monitor your household’s daily water use. Go to www.eyeonwater.com or download the EyeOnWater app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to access your information. You will need the account number from your water bill to get started. Please note, it can take a few weeks after your meter is replaced for your data to appear in the Eye On Water online portal and app.

Most residents do not experience an increase in their water bill after the meter replacement. However, you could see a higher bill if the old meter was failing. The new meter will simply provide a more accurate measurement of your water consumption. If you observe a significant rise in water usage after the meter exchange, please reach out to the Water Office at 817-427-6200 or customerservice@nrhtx.com.

Eye on Water App

With the new water meter, you can review and analyze your household’s water usage through a secure website portal or smartphone app. You will be able to view your hourly water usage activity and gain greater understanding and control of the amount of water you use. The Eye on Water website and app provide easy-to-understand graphs and the ability to establish alerts – including identifying potential leaks.

If you already have a new water meter, go to www.eyeonwater.com or download the EyeOnWater app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to access your information. You will need the following information to create your Eye on Water account: ✔ an E-mail Address ✔ your Account Number from your water bill ✔ your Zip Code. Please note, it can take a few weeks after your meter is replaced for your data to appear in the Eye On Water online portal and app. Thank you for your patience.
