Southlake’s favorite fall tradition returns as Southlake Oktoberfest celebrates 24 years of food, music, and community in Southlake Town Square, October 17–19. This year’s festival blends Bavarian flair with hometown charm, offering something for every age—from steins and sausages to shopping and family fun.
In the latest episode of Southlake City Spotlight, organizers highlight the top five can’t-miss experiences:
- Authentic German eats & treats — Bratwurst, schnitzel, strudel, pretzels, and seasonal beverages from local vendors bring a taste of Munich to Main Street.
- Live music & entertainment — Polka favorites, party bands, and strolling performers keep the plaza hopping from afternoon to evening.
- Wiener Dog Races — A fan favorite returns with speedy dachshunds dashing for glory and plenty of photo-worthy moments.
- Market-style shopping — Artisans and boutiques line the streets with fall décor, apparel, gifts, and handcrafted goods.
- Family zone fun — Kid-approved activities, games, and crafts make it easy to spend the day together.
With crisp fall weather on tap, festivalgoers are encouraged to arrive early, bring friends, and plan to stay for the evening concerts. Parking and rideshare options will be available around Town Square; check event maps and schedules before you go.
Raise a stein, tap your toes, and celebrate a weekend of community, culture, and celebration—right in the heart of Southlake. For full schedules, vendor lists, and race details, visit the Southlake Chamber of Commerce website.
