Bedford Reimagines Annual Holiday Celebration with ‘Christmas in the Park’
BIG HOLIDAY NEWS! Bedford’s annual Christmas Tree Lighting is getting a major glow-up! The annual holiday event is now Christmas in the Park and it’s moving to a new home at Generations Park at Boys Ranch from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, December 5.
This year’s event will be bigger, brighter, and more magical than ever with:
- A drone show (NEW!)
- Lighting of the City’s Christmas Tree (NEW TREE!)
- Snow hill (NEW!)
- Thousands of sparkling lights throughout Generations Park at Boys Ranch (NEW!)
- Pictures with Santa
- Holiday market with vendors
- HEB ISD choir performances
- S’mores
- Live reindeer
- Children’s activity tent
- Food trucks
We cannot wait to unveil a brand-new City of Bedford Christmas tree, which will shine for the very first time during the tree lighting ceremony at 7:30 p.m., followed by a holiday drone show lighting up the Bedford sky.
So what happens to the old tree? It’s not going anywhere! Even though this year’s celebration is moving to Generations Park, the original City Christmas tree will still be on display at Old Bedford School, along with holiday light displays.
