The HEB Chamber of Commerce is now accepting applications for its 2026 Youth in Government Program, an educational and scholarship opportunity designed to engage local students with their city governments.
Developed in partnership with the Cities of Bedford, Euless, and Hurst, the program allows students to learn firsthand how municipal government works while exploring potential career paths and earning scholarships.
Sessions are held twice a month on Monday evenings from January through April, each lasting 1.5 hours. Topics include the importance of voting and civic engagement, public safety and city services, community service, and leadership development.
To be eligible, students must be high school juniors or seniors by January 1, 2026, and reside in Bedford, Euless, or Hurst. Enrollment in HEB ISD is not required.
Parents and students are encouraged to apply early, as applications close December 2, 2025.
