The City of Colleyville is inviting local organizations to help spread holiday cheer by participating in this year’s Community Decorated Christmas Tree Display. Community groups, clubs, schools, churches, and businesses are encouraged to show off their creativity and festive spirit by decorating their own tree as part of this unique seasonal showcase.
Interested organizations must complete and submit an application by November 10 in order to participate. Because this year’s annual Christmas Tree Lighting event will take place early in the season on November 22, the Community Tree Display will be featured separately. Instead of being showcased during the lighting celebration, the community-decorated trees will be displayed throughout the entire month of December, giving residents and visitors extended time to enjoy the festive exhibition.
Participation spots are limited, and priority will be given to groups based in Colleyville. Selected participants will be notified by November 14 with further setup details. Each decorated tree will be judged, and winners will be recognized at the December 16 City Council meeting, adding a fun competitive element to the display.
The Community Decorated Christmas Tree Display provides organizations with an opportunity to highlight their mission, engage with residents, and contribute to the city’s holiday atmosphere. Whether groups choose traditional décor, bold themes, or imaginative designs, the display promises to bring sparkle and joy to the heart of Colleyville during the holiday season.
Organizations seeking more information or wishing to request an application can email kflynn@colleyville.com.
The City encourages early submissions and looks forward to showcasing the creativity that makes Colleyville shine every December.
