The City of Colleyville is preparing to welcome the holiday season in festive fashion with its annual Christmas Tree Lighting celebration on Friday, November 22. Residents and visitors are invited to gather on the Plaza at Colleyville City Hall from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. for an evening filled with seasonal surprises, community spirit, and family-friendly entertainment.
This free event promises something for all ages. Guests can enjoy balloon artists, choir performances, and photos with Santa while exploring a variety of local food trucks offering warm treats and holiday bites. The Holly Colley Express will return this year, featuring a selection of specialty beverages provided by participating local businesses and organizations.
Children are invited to stop by and write their wish lists or thoughtful messages to Santa. A magical mailbox will be placed on the steps of City Hall, where young visitors can drop off their letters. These messages will be picked up personally by Santa and Mrs. Claus when they arrive at the event.
Adding to the holiday enchantment, Santa will be bringing along his reindeer to greet families. The evening will officially begin with Santa and Mayor Lindamood’s arrival down Main Street at 5:45 p.m., followed by the much-anticipated lighting of the community Christmas tree. Afterward, families can settle in for a drive-in style holiday movie under the stars.
With dazzling lights, cheerful music, and memorable photo opportunities, the Christmas Tree Lighting event has become a beloved tradition for Colleyville residents. Organizers encourage families to bring chairs, jackets, and holiday cheer as the city celebrates the start of the festive season.
