The Keller ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously on Thursday, June 5, to name Dr. Cory Wilson as the lone finalist for the position of Superintendent of Schools. The decision, approved by a 5-0 vote during a Special Meeting, initiates a state-mandated 21-day waiting period before Dr. Wilson can be officially confirmed and hired.

Dr. Wilson brings 27 years of experience in education, including 23 years within Keller ISD, where he began his career in 2002 as a fifth-grade math and science teacher at Parkwood Hill Intermediate School. Over the years, he has served in multiple leadership roles and most recently held the position of Assistant Superintendent of Education Services. Since February, Dr. Wilson has been serving as interim superintendent, providing steady leadership and continuity for the district.

The Board’s decision reflects strong confidence in Dr. Wilson’s deep knowledge of the district, commitment to student success, and long-standing service to the Keller ISD community.

An official vote to hire Dr. Wilson as superintendent is expected following the 21-day waiting period.
