On Oct. 31, Eagle Mountain International Church is holding its 13th annual Fall Fest on the 33-acre campus of Kenneth Copeland Ministries in Newark, Texas (right outside Haslet). The event is free, open to the public, and safe for the entire family, featuring a helicopter candy drop with 500 pounds of candy.
“Halloween may give some families an uneasy feeling about going door to door, which is why Eagle Mountain International Church created a wonderful and safe alternative, Fall Fest,” said EMIC Senior Pastor George Pearsons. “We look for ways to show our community God’s Love and to give back. Maybe it’s the kid in me, but this is one of my favorites. I pray everyone comes out to find out why.”
From 6 to 9 p.m., EMIC’s Fall Fest takes place on the church’s front lawn with enough room and parking for families from surrounding cities and across the greater DFW area. In hopes of bringing the entire community together for a safe, secure and fun evening, there are activities, events and food everyone will enjoy.
• Live activities like a 28’-high climbing wall, a bungee trampoline, and a thrilling 80’-long, 20’-wide, 36’-high zip line
• Children’s favorites like face painting, bounce houses and games with friends
• Pictures in the pumpkin patch (with 40 hay bales and seating areas) and an extended 20-minute hayride spanning most of the KCM campus
• Food trucks from across DFW, including the statewide-renowned LocalCraft BBQ from Newark, Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee Truck, Tejas Tacos, Popcorn Express, Chicken Chris and Funky Town Funnel Cakes
• Free Apple Cider bar and S’mores bar
• And all that candy dropping from overhead for the kids to run and collect!
One of the focal points of Fall Fest is the outreach aspect, specifically, the canned and packaged food drive for Life Unlimited Food Ministry. Every Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to noon, Life Unlimited reaches out to impoverished families across the DFW metroplex.
Thanksgiving is their annual event where all North Texas can donate and benefit from their work. Beginning at Fall Fest, EMIC will hold its annual food drive.
“We may be a global church, but it’s the local outreach that ties us to home,” continued Pearsons. “Our work with Life Unlimited goes back years, so hopefully the entire community will experience the Love of God by attending Fall Fest and donating what they can for the less fortunate in our city.”
