Haltom City – From the Mayor’s Desk

After the May 4, 2024 General Election, four new citizens were elected to the Haltom City Council. They are Council Place 3 Ollie Anderson, Council Place 4 Scott Lindgren, Council Place 5 Troy Dunn , and Council Place 6 Dana Coffman.

I certainly appreciate the service and commitment of our former Council Members – Mayor Pro Tem Linda Thompson, Council Place 4 Eric Morris, and Council Place 5 Susan Soule. And it was a relief to have Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Kyle Smith – formerly Council Place 6 – get elected to Council Place 1 for a one year term, and also to have Council Members Kyle Hantz, Place 2, and Don Cooper, Place 7, continue at their current posts. But a city can’t progress if it only relies on its prior accomplishments. There are so many important challenges that lie ahead, and this new group of elected officials are determined to continue providing the best leadership for the citizens of Haltom City. They have already demonstrated an eagerness to learn more about municipal government and we will all work side by side for our community and ask that you as citizens help support and provide input toward the betterment of Haltom City.
