Harmony Science Academy-Euless Named 2025 Lone Star Ribbon School

EULESS, Texas — Harmony Science Academy–Euless has been named a 2025 Lone Star Ribbon School by Governor Greg Abbott, recognizing the campus for its outstanding academic performance and progress in closing achievement gaps.

The honor places Harmony Science Academy–Euless among an elite group of only 28 schools across Texas to receive the distinction this year.

“This recognition is a reflection of the incredible dedication and teamwork of our students, teachers, and families,” said Harun Karan, Area Superintendent of Harmony Public Schools–North Texas Secondary. “Across our North Texas secondary campuses, we strive to create environments where every student can excel academically and grow as a confident, compassionate leader. We are deeply honored to see that commitment recognized at the state level.”

The Lone Star Ribbon Schools program, formerly known as the National Blue Ribbon Schools program, transitioned to state leadership as part of the U.S. Department of Education’s efforts to empower states in recognizing educational excellence. With Texas now overseeing the program, the award highlights schools that exemplify the priorities and values of local communities.

“Texas is on the pathway to become No. 1 in educating our children,” said Governor Abbott. “And Texas will continue to invest in our schools to improve performance and better prepare Texans for the workforce.”

Harmony Science Academy–Euless serves students in grades 6–12 and is part of the Harmony Public Schools–North Texas district, a network of high-performing, college-preparatory public charter schools. Harmony’s curriculum emphasizes STEM education, character development, project-based learning, and college readiness, resulting in a 98 percent graduation rate and 100 percent college acceptance rate among seniors.

Harmony Public Schools is currently accepting applications for the 2025–26 school year for both students and team members who are eager to join a community dedicated to excellence in education.
