The NRH Senior Center’s November 2026 newsletter highlights activities, health programs, celebrations and registration reminders for members throughout the month.
Featured programs include the Thanksgiving Luncheon on Monday, November 2, at 11 a.m., and “Medicare: Fact, Fiction, and Fun!” on Wednesday, November 18, at 11 a.m. Transportation will be provided from the NRH Senior Center to City Hall on November 11 at 10:30 a.m. Registration is required, and seating is limited.
The calendar also includes recurring activities such as Pinochle, Tai Chi, Silver Sneakers, Mahjong, line dancing, painting, chair yoga, card games and support groups. Several special activities are scheduled, including “You’re Never Too Old to Play in the Dirt,” the Bunco Tournament, the Birthday Party, “Who Gave Jenn Permission to Leave?!?” Party and the Volunteer Appreciation Party.
The newsletter lists additional programs and themed activities, including National Sandwich Day, National Greek Yogurt Day and National Baklava Day. A “Reflections” Art Judging activity and a Veterans Day Celebration at City Hall are also included on the November calendar.
Members are reminded that registration serves as an RSVP and that many programs have waiting lists. Registration is required for some activities, and members may attend two of the three listed bingo days. The center also asks participants to cancel at least 24 hours in advance when they cannot attend.
As part of “NRH Senior Center Gives Back!”, the center will collect new toys in November and December for the Community Enrichment Center. Suggested gifts include gift cards, makeup and basketballs for teens.
The NRH Senior Center will be closed November 26 and 27 for Thanksgiving and will close at 3 p.m. on November 12 for the Volunteer Appreciation Party. The center is located at 6000 Hawk Ave. and is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Online registration is available at nrhseniorcenter.com.
