Starting Friday, July 12, the contractor for the Lariat Trail reconstruction project will be conducting paving operations, starting just south of Briley to the dead end of Lariat. This requires the intersection of Lariat and Tabor to be closed starting today. Drivers who normally use Tabor should use Briley Drive as an alternate route. The closure will continue through the end of next week.
Also next week, contractors will be finishing up the replacement of underground utilities on Daniel Drive and mobilizing to begin utility work on Lake Side Circle. The replacement of aging utilities is the first step in our street reconstruction process. Making these infrastructure improvements before paving, decreases the need for future excavation after the new street is in place.
Next week, contractors will also be replacing concrete curb, gutter and drive approach where needed on Sierra Drive and Wood View Drive. This is the second step in the street reconstruction process and will ensure positive drainage once the new street pavement is in place.
Please slow down and watch for workers in these areas.
