Business I-40 (Amarillo Boulevard) intersection reconfigurations – in-person option

Purpose: TxDOT’s Amarillo District is hosting a public meeting to share information regarding median improvements along BI-40.

US 83 widening north of Menard – virtual public meeting with in-person option

Location: Menard
Date: 09/29/26
Purpose: The proposed project would extend approximately 11.2 miles along US 83. The existing typical section consists of a rural two-lane undivided highway with alternating passing lanes within a 100-foot-wide right of way. The proposed project would: widen US 83 within an approximate 470-foot-wide right of way and be constructed in two phases: Phase I (interim design) would primarily widen US 83 to a four-lane divided highway and Phase II (ultimate design) would widen US 83 by constructing frontage roads on either side of the interim design mainlanes. Construction of Phase II would be dependent on funding and interstate planning.
