Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA)

As tax season begins, the United Way of Tarrant County (UWTC) is assisting individuals and families in maximizing their tax refunds. This year, for the first time, UWTC is offering scheduled appointments at 11 of its 12 Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) sites, including locations serviced by mobile units. This initiative aims to make it easier and more efficient for qualifying residents to access free tax preparation services. Families and individuals with household incomes of $67,000 or less can schedule appointments for this free service.

(VITA) is available by appointment at the Tarrant Plaza location from Wednesday, February 5th, through Tuesday, April 15th, 2025. This is a FREE service available to members and non-members who made less than $67,000 in 2024. IRS-Certified TCCU staff members will be providing basic tax return preparation.
