Northwest ISD to Host Back-to-School Welcome Events

As the first day of school approaches, campuses across Northwest ISD are preparing to welcome students and families with a series of community events.

On Monday, August 11, all elementary campuses will host Meet the Teacher events, giving students and parents the chance to visit classrooms, connect with teachers, and get familiar with the school before classes begin.

High schools will celebrate the new year with Meet the Mascots—community rally-style gatherings designed to build school spirit. These events will take place on Friday, August 8, or Monday, August 11, depending on the campus. Specific dates and times are available at the district’s Back to School webpage.

Teacher Assignments & Schedules
For elementary students, families will receive teacher assignments by phone or email on Thursday, August 7, or Friday, August 8. Due to ongoing enrollment changes, some notifications may take a few days. Once assignments are finalized, they will also be posted in the Home Access Center on the afternoon of August 8.

For secondary students, schedules will be available in the Home Access Center beginning the afternoon of August 8.

These events are designed to ease the transition into the new school year, provide valuable face-to-face connections, and energize students and families for a successful start.
