Railroad Commission of Texas welcomed members of the American Chamber of Commerce in Argentina to its Austin headquarters on May 19 for discussions focused on energy regulation, infrastructure, and international cooperation.

Christi Craddick greeted the delegation and provided opening remarks highlighting the Railroad Commission’s role in overseeing Texas’ energy sector and maintaining the state’s position as a global energy leader.

“We are honored to welcome back AmCham Argentina members to Texas, and to engage with them in thoughtful dialogue on energy policy,” said Commissioner Craddick. “The RRC remains a key player in maintaining Texas’ position as a global leader in responsible energy development, and discussions like these strengthen our efforts.”

During the visit, members of the Argentine delegation met with Railroad Commission subject matter experts to discuss a variety of topics, including Texas’ regulatory framework, operational safety standards, pipeline infrastructure, and produced water management.

The Railroad Commission routinely hosts international delegations interested in learning from Texas’ experience managing one of the world’s largest and most active energy economies. Officials said the meetings provide opportunities for collaboration and the exchange of ideas related to responsible energy production and regulation.

This marks the second AmCham Argentina visit to the Railroad Commission in less than a year. In June 2025, a delegation that included legislators, government officials, industry executives, and municipal leaders toured Texas energy facilities and met with Commission representatives in Austin.

The Railroad Commission has also recently hosted several international visitors, including Canadian political and financial leaders interested in Texas’ approach to energy development and infrastructure management.
