Fort Worth’s Park & Recreation Department will host its Contract Instructor Fair, welcoming residents eager to share their expertise and enrich the lives of community members across Fort Worth.

Event details: Scheduled for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, May 31, the event will take place at Victory Forest Community Center, 3427 Hemphill St. The fair offers a prime opportunity for prospective instructors to learn about becoming part of the City’s diverse programming.

Why it matters: With 22 community center locations spread throughout Fort Worth, the department aims to diversify its offerings and engage residents in activities catered to their interests. Whether it’s arts and crafts, fitness classes or specialized workshops, there’s ample room for individuals to contribute their unique skills.

What’s in it for me? One of the key highlights of becoming a contract instructor is the attractive 70%-30% split, ensuring instructors are duly compensated for their time and efforts while also supporting community initiatives. Additionally, schedules are flexible, accommodating instructors’ availability and preferences.

Those interested in becoming a contract instructor are encouraged to sign up for the fair, where they will have the chance to connect with department representatives, learn more about available opportunities, and take the first step toward making a meaningful impact in Fort Worth neighborhoods.
