Christmas Lighting Contest

Untangle those lights, pull out the inflatables, and start decorating! Do you or your neighbor light up the block with holiday cheer each year? Nominate yourself or a neighbor to win the Keep NRH Beautiful 2025 Christmas Lighting Contest.

Christmas light contests are a festive way to demonstrate your community pride and light up the holiday season. It’s also a great project for the whole family. So pull out your Santa, sleds, reindeer, wreaths, and lights, and spread the holiday cheer through your neighborhood.

Rules:

• No fee for entry into the contest.
• Nominations must be homes within the boundaries of North Richland Hills.
• Only decorations visible from the roadway will be subject to judging.
• Winners will be contacted before the official public announcement at a meeting of the City Council.
• Homes are limited to winning once every 3 years.

Nominations:

Nominations will be accepted until 3 p.m. Friday, December 12.

Judging:

Judging by the Keep NRH Beautiful Commission will take place on Sunday, December 14, and Monday, December 15 if needed. It is suggested that lights be kept on from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on judging nights. All judging will be completed no later than 10 p.m. on December 15. Judging by the Commission will be based on arrangement, variety, and overall “WOW!” factor.

Participants should ensure that all lights, animations, and decorations are in place and activated for the judging periods on both nights.

Winners will be announced on Tuesday, December 16.
