The City is partnering with the Tarrant Regional Water District for two FREE gardening classes at the Bedford Library in May:
- “Build Your Own Bee House” at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7: Even bees need places to hide, escape, and rest! In this workshop, participants will make a bee house to bring home and put in their backyard. These houses will primarily support native solitary-dwelling bees, but may also support other pollinators like butterflies and moths. One bee house, per household. Register online.
- “Gardening for Bees” at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 15: Want to add some life and color to your yard? In this class, participants will learn how to install a pollinator garden, what plants and features to install to attract the type of native bees you want, and long-term pollinator garden maintenance. Register online.
Both classes will be held at the Bedford Library, 2424 Forest Ridge Dr. To register and find more information on each class, view each registration link.
