The Colleyville Police and Fire Departments are teaming up—and facing off—for a good cause this October. The annual Battle of the Badges Blood Drive returns on October 15 and 17, inviting residents to donate blood in support of their favorite first responders.
In partnership with Carter BloodCare, this friendly competition gives the community two days to make life-saving donations while showing their appreciation for the city’s police officers and firefighters. Participants can choose to “Back the Blue” at the Colleyville Justice Center (5201 Riverwalk Dr.) or “Back the Red” at the Central Fire Station (5209 Colleyville Blvd.).
Blood donations will be accepted from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on both days, with each donor receiving a free t-shirt as a thank-you for their contribution.
“This event is always a fun way for residents to get involved while helping save lives,” organizers said. “It’s not about who wins—it’s about strengthening our community and supporting those in need.”
Whether you’re cheering for #TeamPolice or #TeamFire, your participation helps ensure a steady supply of blood for local hospitals and patients across North Texas.
