Gas Leak & Shelter in Place

Final Update: The gas leak in 6800 block of Glenview Drive has been stopped and the roadway has reopened. 

Update: Atmos has been able to slow the leak and air quality readings for the neighborhood have returned to normal, therefore, the shelter-in-place is ending at this time. Glenview remains closed. Fire Department remains on site to continue monitoring the situation.

Initial Post: A natural gas line was struck by a construction crew at 8:05 a.m. on Thursday, May 29 in the 6800 block of Glenview Drive. Due to the change in light wind conditions, gas readings between Glenview Drive, Flory Street, Manor Drive, and Morgan Circle are elevated causing a shelter-in-place. The impacted area is inside the yellow rectangle on the map below. Additionally Glenview is closed, with traffic detoured at Flory and Daley. Please avoid the area.
