Christmas Holiday Closure

Non-emergency city facilities will be closed on Wednesday, December 24, and Thursday, December 25 in observance of the Christmas holiday.

Trash and recycling service normally provided on Monday will be on regular schedule; Thursday will shift to Friday. Service normally provided on Tuesday will be on regular schedule; Friday will shift to Saturday.

New Year’s Holiday Closure

Non-emergency city facilities are closed on Thursday, January 1, 2026 in observance of the New Year’s holiday.

The Community Services Department has specialty hours on Wednesday, December 31, 2025:

  • Hurst Recreation Center closes early at 6 p.m.
  • Hurst Tennis & Pickleball Center closes early at 1 p.m.

Trash and recycling service normally provided on Monday will be on regular schedule; Thursday will shift to Friday. Service normally provided on Tuesday will be on regular schedule; Friday will shift to Saturday. Emergency services will operate as normal.
